Hello Oliver
7/5- 2013
My name is Sandra. The
world has changed much since you lived here. Now it´s the 21th
century. You know today, almost everybody has money, and everybody
has clothes and so on. We have stores where you can buy food and
clothes.
You can find homeless
people here but it´s not often you see poor people on the street.
The most of the poor people get some help, and get somewhere to sleep
for the night.
Now we also have cars. We
have still child orphanage but it´s not so many children how live
there anymore. The orphanage is not like they where when you lived in
your time. We have something that is called hospital. It´s a house
you can go to when you are sick or have hurt your leg and so on.
So now you know little
about the world today, and how we live here on the earth.
So I wonder how your trip
to London was, I understand if it´s was a tuff way to walk. We have
seen a movie about you and I have a couple of questions. I just
wonder how it was in London in the 19th century. Was it
fun to live in that time?
Love Sandra!
I've read your letter, Sandra! Well done! I find the last question a bit confusing though. If you consider what we know about Oliver Twist and his life the question "Was it fun to live in that time?" feels a bit odd. Maybe "Was it difficult to live in that time?" is more suitable.
SvaraRaderaOkey, thanks! :)
